Young Entrepreneurs

Thursday 28 April 2016

Inspired by some young and successful entrepreneurs living around us, Ms Kaplita's students decided to present their own, profitable business ideas. Every 3-people group have shortly introduced their company, its product or service, analysed the competition and compared incomes and expenses.

2 of 5 groups prepared products, and both of them were devices helping to find small items in a mess. If it comes to services, we proposed taking care of pets in an animal hotel, organising weddings and providing entertainment in a holiday farm.

There is no doubt that due to giving these presentations we proved our huge creativity, improved our social skills and learnt how to cooperate, too.

And the winner is...

Sunday 10 April 2016

In our school was organized a competition for the best slogan cautioning against the internet addiction.
Out of many ideas we chose one, which was consistent with the rules and interesting. The winning slogan is: “Raise your sight above the screen.” The happy winner is Agnieszka Krasoń from class I “i”. She won a wonderful award!
Congratulations!

Watching Best Foreign Language Film in 2015 - "Son of Saul"

The first of April we went with a class to watch a film "Son of Saul". This is a 2015 Hungarian drama film directed by László Nemes and co-written by Nemes and Clara Royer. It is set in the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II, and follows a day-and-a-half in the life of Saul Ausländer (played by Géza Röhrig), a Hungarian member of the Sonderkommando. He was forced to burn the corpses of his own people and finds moral survival upon trying to salvage from the flames the body of a boy he takes for his son. The film won many awards, such as: Grand Prix at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, the Best Foreign Language Film at the 88th Academy Awards , Golden Globe for the Best Foreign Language Film . The movie, which gained so many awards, is for one hundred percent recommendable. A striking fact is that every single detail in the movie is perfectly polished, that is why while watching the scenes, you feel as if you were there.

After the screening, there was a meeting with one of the Polish actors who played in this film. Kamil Dobrowolski told us how he had got the role and described the shooting of the Oscar-winning film. At the end we could ask him some questions about things that interested us the most.
