The Haiti Dragons were on their top form! In last September
they beat Granada twice on 3rd qualify stage, and recently they were facing Costa
Rica, Jamaica and Panama in the group stage. Nobody expected them at as high
level as they achieved.
“But what is it all about?” someone could ask. The thing is, there are world championships in football called “FIFA World Cup” and each country has a chance to take part in it, which means even Haiti Dragons may reach the very top! That would be a surprise! Of course whole country cheers them… Well, actually - was cheering.
It is hard to believe after so many good games and won matches, but now Haitians do not have any chances to go to Russia in 2018, because of 3 losses (each match 0-1 – how unlucky!) and only one draw with Panama at Port au Prince. In the beginning nothing announced that things were going to be this way, but there is always one ball and two goals – and unfortunately Dragons’ rivals turned out to be better footballers.
But don’t worry. If you want to support the Haiti Dragons there still will be a chance in after a four-years-time since World Cup in Russia, which means six years from now. During this period of waiting they sure will work hard, and maybe one day we could see the Haiti Dragons in a final match of the “FIFA World Cup”.
That would be a really surprise from Haiti!
